Mindful Parenting, Usha Shah

How do we increase our children's awareness or mindfulness and help them concentrate on relaxation and peace instead of drama, pain and suffering? Join us, as we learn from local mindfulness instructor, Usha Shah about how to lead our children in finding peace and joy in all their experiences.

Usha Shah has studied metaphysics for the past thirty two years and feels that self-realization can be achieved by anyone through practice of daily meditation and awareness. She has in depth knowledge of both the Eastern and Western spiritual teachings and how this knowledge can be integrated in our daily lives so that we can achieve greater balance, harmony, abundance and profound joy in all our experiences. She teaches classes in Sound Meditation, Mindfulness, Qigong and Course in Miracles at various local institutions. http://www.theawakenedlife.net

Vision Board Workshop, Nora Doebrich, Art Therapist
Monday, Sept 11th, 2017 (6:30 -8:30pm)

Life can become so busy and we can often find ourselves running from one thing to the other. This can lead us to feel burnt out, overwhelmed and exhausted. This workshop is intended to help you slow down and focus on what is really important in your life. We will begin with a short seated meditation to shift your focus inward and to explore what it is that you want in your life. Then we will move to the art making process and you will have the opportunity to create your unique Vision Board based on your intentions. We will have collage materials available for you to create your masterpiece and we encourage you to have fun with this!

Nora has chosen to focus her yoga studies and instruction on children and women. Nora is certified to teach Kid’s Yoga, Baby and Me Yoga and Prenatal Yoga. Along with being a Yoga Instructor, Nora has been an Art Therapist since 2004. In this portion of her career, she has chosen to work with women and children who have been impacted by trauma. Nora has incorporated yoga and mindfulness skills into her therapy to help her clients heal. http://flowercityyoga.com/
