PictureJessica utilizes a holistic model based on the Hero’s Journey for labor and delivery. In her talk she will also address how to apply the model as a base for parenting, integrating mind, body and spirit.

Jessica is the owner and founder of Sacred Pathways Birthing Education and Family Wellness Center. She received her BA in psychology and attained her MA in counseling focusing on the experience of grief, trauma and loss. She then gained an experiential education in working with people in a strength based and holistic manner where she learned the true power of mindful and loving awareness. Jessica's most current endeavor lies in birthing education. She assists other women in working through sources of anxiety and fear and helps to educate women in their natural ability to give birth. May Meeting Mingle

If you could have a super power what would it be? Describe an unusual or humorous moment during one of your births. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would that be? What was your first job? We will reflect and get to know one another through several picked at random questions. Answer the ones that inspire you and share your thoughts and experiences with the group.

We will also be making whipped body butter to try and take home. Come join us for a fun social evening!

She has been an active member of the Section on Women’s Health of the American Physical Therapy Association since 1988, and has served the Section on Women’s Health. Jennifer Morin is a board certified orthopedic specialist who has over 13 years of clinical physical therapy experience specializing in orthopedics and the female athlete, pelvic floor dysfunction in both men and women, and pre-natal and post-partum care. Want to learn more about how to make your garden flourish? Horticulturist, Erin Hegeman, will teach us how to attract beneficial insects for agriculture, when to plant, how to rotate crops, pest management, how to compost and how to incorporate compost into our gardens.

Erin has been passionate about horticulture ever since she worked at a greenhouse when she was fourteen years of age. She obtained a degree in Ornamental Horticulture and her love for nature and children lead her to take courses in both Sustainable Agriculture and Child Development.
