Bhutan’s Traditional Medicine with Patricia Stewart April 8th, 2019 (6:30pm - 8:30pm)

Bhutan’s Gross National Product is measured in happiness rather than the accumulation of wealth for the country, or in technological or military developments. It is one of the few remaining small kingdoms of the world, with only 700,000 people, and is sandwiched between two mighty powers, India and China; yet, it sets forth a powerful example of how we can all live healthier lives by making small daily changes for ourselves and our families.

Patricia Stewart, NP, MS, RN, is a Medical Herbalist who earned her certifications through the Bellebuono School of Herbal Medicine and Rosemary Gladstar’s course, The Science and Art of Herbology. She is a member of the American Herbalist Guild. Patricia continues her professional relationships with colleagues Andrea Reisen and Geo Derick, master herbalists. Patricia’s life as a healing professional spans four decades: as a registered nurse and then a nurse practitioner, she worked in hospitals, schools and communities across New England, the Himalayas of northern India, and in Germany. In 2000, she worked in Nepal doing medical evacuations for the American Embassy. Patricia received her Master of Science degree in organizational management from Antioch New England Graduate School and her second master’s degree in Advanced Practice Nursing at St. John Fisher College.
