Hike through Corbett's Glen
The air was "as thick as pea soup" but we had a wonderful walk around the glen and even waded a bit in the water. Fun was had by all. Here are a few pictures:
Campout at Mary's
Here are some pictures of our wonderful campout at Mary's house on Tuesday! We enjoyed hanging out in the backyard while campers pitched tents, a walk to the Daffodil trail at Powder Mills Park, the roasting of marshmallows, and delightful music. Thank you to Mary and Dan Rundberg for hosting! It was a wonderful time!

Fundraising Success
$1711 is the grand total of what was made at this weekend's HMN Roch fundraiser!!! We surpassed our goal by $211 !!!
THANK YOU to all who donated time, energy, items for sale, tables, tents, baked goods, support etc... We could never have done it without all of you!!!
Tables, tents and plastic bins are ready to be picked up-- come anytime-- garage door will be open again this week.
What did we do with ALL those left-overs?
A WIC employee who came to the sale asked to pick up unsold baby/kids clothes and small toys on Monday. WIC (a gov't program for women, infants and children in need) has a clothes closet for its clients. We're glad it will help local families directly!
Adult clothes and misc. are set to be donated to Salvation Army and ABW (Alternatives for Battered Women) on Thursday
A follow-up Garage Sale fundraiser is being held the weekend of Aug 3 and 4 at a friend of HMN's home where we will make another valiant attempt to find new homes for these items (Help is gladly received for the days of the sale-- contact Deborah for more info!)

Honoring Carol Chittenden
We are so grateful to Carol Chittenden for having founded our chapter of HMN. She has served as a courageous and creative leader for over 2 years. We honored her by creating the beginnings of a beaded necklace (still in progress), gave her an engraved Kenyan kisii stone statue, and we will be placing 5 copies of Carol's favorite homeopathy book in 5 local libraries. Thank you for planting the seed. We will miss your guidance Carol!

HMN Kids Event at Rochester Roots!
We had a great time helping out at Rochester Roots! Thank you for planning our day at the Rochester Roots garden yesterday Mary. We had 5 mamas and their kiddos - We planted and watered lettuce and met some of the neighborhood kids. One 8 year old girl from the neighborhood, Sierra, was given a whole row in the garden for herself and her family this summer because she comes to volunteer so often. Jan from Rochester Roots was very appreciative.
