October Meeting - Slow Food/Fall Harvest

Micheal Warren Thomas, radio host of Savor Life and Rochester Convivium leader of Slow Food USA shared with the large group ways we can all enjoy slow foods. Michael, a Rochester resident, even has his own chicken coop for eggs!

Micheal stressed how important buying from and supporting local farmers markets or CAS is to our health and to the local economy. The term slow foods is in reaction to the fast food movement.
